I had a wonderful stay at this charming B&B, where I was greeted by a lovely host who provided a tour and warm snacks upon arrival. The beautiful views of Lake Manapouri and the traditional furnishings made it feel historic and welcoming. Breakfast was a delight with plenty of options, but I did find it unfortunate that some local tours were fully booked during my stay. Nonetheless, this place is ideal for anyone looking for comfort and character near the Doubtful Sound.

The hosts were incredibly helpful in trying to arrange our Glowworm Tour, even though it was fully booked. The location was perfect for exploring the area, but I do think the house could use some updates here and there to enhance the overall experience.

The breakfast was a highlight, and the hosts, Robert and Phillipa, were incredibly helpful with local insights. However, the house could use a bit of maintenance, like some fresh paint and better water pressure in the shower. Overall, it was a great experience, especially for those looking to explore Doubtful Sound.
